“At Yellowstone” Poetry 30/30 Project Day 3

Another poem for Tupelo Press’s 30/30 project , At Yellowstone, is up at their website and here under the Poetry 30/30 page.

Okay, it’s starting to get hard!  Of the three I’ve written so far, I’m least happy with this one.  I tried to combine two exercises I wrote back in June when we were visiting Yellowstone and I had a nice evening on the viewing porch while my husband tried to get our son to sleep back in the room!  There were some nice images and lines that I wanted to work with, but I’m not satisfied with the ending.  I’ll definitely have to chalk this one up to a practice poem, knowing that I can come back to it later.

If you’re following along, leave me a comment or a “like” so I can get to know my readers. Also, I’m sure at some point I’ll run out of ideas for poems, so let me know if there’s a topic or image that you’d like to challenge me to tackle. Thanks readers!
