Another poem for Tupelo Press’s 30/30 project , A Swim, is up at their website and here under the Poetry 30/30 page.
You might notice that both of these first poems have a water theme, which got me thinking about a way to organize my writing this month. The four classical Greek elements – Water, Fire, Earth, Air – show up in poems in a variety of ways, so my plan is to try to use them as anchoring concepts, one each week. This week, as you may have guessed, will be water.
If you’re following along, leave me a comment or a “like” so I can get to know my readers. Also, I’m sure at some point I’ll run out of ideas for poems, so let me know if there’s a topic or image that you’d like to challenge me to tackle. Thanks readers!
